Does anyone have the video of where he goes over and explains the box squat to the crossfit guy?

Hey Chris, you might've met Jesse from Local's Gym. He's a really awesome guy and runs a fantastic gym. We're holding a PL meet next week to help get word of the SuperLift out!

    Here's another angle with Chris.

I met everyone there, so I am sure I did. I am bad with names. Which one was he?

    Great stuff on the seminar!

You sure? If so, his dad owns the gym, not him. Both him and his dad were great guys and that kid is an athletic SPECIMEN!

Hmm, not sure if it's his dad who owns the gym... I don't think so... but yeah he is tall and has black hair, shaved. Was just wondering!

Ahhh, no, what state is he from? I think Travis was recalling incorrectly.

Pretty sure he's talking about Jesse Ward

Here's a picture from the gym website -

This is the guy with a very good pull that Louie gave a hard time about not pulling more in the 650 range

Yeah, that's the guy. Back when he was more into powerlifting his numbers were pretty big.

Right, yes, I spoke to him quite a bit. Good guy.

Travis, he was not the kid with the great pull. That is who you initially thought it was. That kid's dad was the former Dolphins player. I can't remember his name, but he pulled the 315 plus the quad minis easily after pulling 4 something plus the bands on the rack pull.

Louie has forgotten more than 99% of power lifting coaches will ever know.

I have had the pleasure of being around louie for the past year. i have learned so much about powerlifting and how it helps athletes maximize their potential in performance as well strength. I am a sprint coach and using the "West Side Barbell" system with my athletes. results have been amazing. Louie has continued to dispell the myth that 13yr old and under are too young to lift and it stunts growth. My son is 13 and has been lifting for 1yr. he has deadlifted 335lbs and squated over 320lbs at 175lbs. Stunting growth, he was 5'3 and 156lbs when he started and now he is 5'9 190lbs. Go figure, We ride or die with West Side. Thanks louie...................

Jimmy, very cool! I am going to post your comments on the CrossFit forum where so many of them are convinced Rippetoe's Starting Strength is good for beginners and Westside is only for the advanced,
