    Max Effort Scotch drinking night before wasnt a bright idea. Wanted 4 x 4 at 490, but worked off the low end of Prilepins for training effect

    The front squat was to determine that if I came out of the hole with a straight back, would legs or core give up first since my form hasnt been spot on in BS lately. The 275 single wasnt a max but could feel the back to start round. SO erectors and abs need more work.

    Best 3rep is 505 around 15 lbs heavier so not bad. Could have pushed it, but I'll leave it for next month. FSs were to keep my torso upright and lower back arched out of the hole and to hit my quads a bit more on squat day. Want to work these up in weight as wrist flexibility allows.

    Slight change to programming:
    BW is getting there. Without much added cardio, gotten down to 220, much leaner than before. Diet has been doing great.
    Upper - none...hitting PRs despite weight loss means dont fix whats not broken. The added chest work has improved my low end strength.
    Lower - I need to hit top end work so going to break Lower into this:

    Squat day
    Volume Squat - 3 weeks, ME squat 1 week (same progression listed before)
    RDLs - low intensity higher rep style, nothing crazy
    High Bar GMs
    high volume pullup, row
    Abs

    DL Day
    DL 3 week volume, 1 week deload
    Block Pulls - 5's, 4's, 3's, off
    Paused Front Squat, 50-60% range
    squat assistance
    Abs

    Throwing low volume back work back into upper days. Squat form hasn't been spot on since I've only been squatting 1 day a week so want to get more work in. After watching a videotape, I'm not pushing my hips and glutes through early enough and I think this correlates with dropping box squats and switching to Oly shoes. I originally thought it was a quad weakness and thought my low back was rounding but it's not. I'll keep videotaping and I'll start working back up with heavier weights. Still planning on maxing out raw at the point I noted earlier. The block pulls and addition of more DL volume at higher intensities will help me finetune my form. I like the Ortmayer layout but felt the lack of high end work and high intensity workload doesn't really fix the issue at hand. I'll simply become a better conventional DLer with a still crappy lockout.
