Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I say just bulk until you're no longer happy with your bodyfat percentage and then cut.

I can remember being 72kg (159lb) and thinking I'd be happy if I could ever get to 87kg (192lb). I'm now 101kg (223lb)and dont think I will cut until I get to atleast 108kg (238lb).

As for a timeline, a slower, more careful bulk is the way to go in my opinion. 2-3 lbs a month would be good progress.

Depending on where you started, a bodyweight increase of 2-4 lbs/month is realistic for most intermediate lifters who are dedicated to putting on mass.

It is possible to gain more if you are simply looking for overall size and are willing to compromise a bit with regard to body composition.
