    Question Regarding ER Competition Bench

    Hello, I hope anyone can answer this question for me:

    What's the elevation/height of an ER competition bench? My gym has like 5 different benches and I would like to use the one that will most resemble the one I bench on in competition. Thanks for the help.

    What federation rules apply to the event? For example for the USAPL, here is a pic of ER Safety Bars for the Bench Press after someone dropped 550 lbs on their mouth. You could email the technical director of your fed and he could give you the specs and so on or point you to the IPF ones on the web if they are affiliated.

    It should be on their website. I think all feds require the same bench height. The ER bench pad is very hard and some people have a harder time setting up on it. It's hard to really get your shoulders back and dig them in. If you can lift on a bench with a hard pad it'll help get you ready.
