Congrats on the PR! I also agree that the extra volume will help with form.

Thanks Gator. If I had a lot more time I'd probably give Sheiko a shot. The extra volume certainly can't hurt.

That's encouraging to still be able to hit a rep PR after the change. You are slowly figuring out what works for you and still gaining strength along the way.

Nice pressing. Looks like we're at about the same level. Only a few more months until 135 is on the bar.

I'm feeling pretty good about the experimenting over the last 2 months.

Pretty close but you're doing it at a much lighter weight. Still I'm watching you to stay motivated

    Cycle 4 Wave 1

    Deadlifts
    175 x 5
    205 x 5
    230 x 13 (est. max 330lb) last time I did 235 I got 8 reps

    Squats
    135 x 10 (RPE-8)
    135 x 5 (RPE-8)
    115 x 20 (RPE-10)

Took about 5 minutes to catch my breath after the deads. They felt very good, probably better than they have in at least a month. Did them all as conventional and tried to make sure that I got some good leg drive. I felt it in my ass so I'm pretty sure I did better than usual

Volume squats for accessory. Deadlifts took a lot more out of me than I thought they would and I was fading fast. Decided to rep out with 115 about a minute after the last set of 135. Got the first 10 pretty quickly, then next 10 not so much.

Still a little nausea 30 minutes later and a nice little exertional headache brewing as well

Will come back tonight and do some ab work and grippers.

Impressive work Matt! That's a good day at the office. Are you going to stick with conventional pulling or mix in the sumos as well?

I need to get a lot of practice with deadls so I'm probably going to do just one style this time around. I don't think that I have the experience needed to go back and forth a lot without it messing up my overall technique.

I just remember you had a vid up of sumo style and the comments were the form was great. It seems like you hit more PR's with the conventional style though. I was just curious and polishing the technique wih one style makes sense.

I'm sure I'll be feeling it in the morning. Still hoping to get 405 x 1 by the end of Summer. I've been lucky lately with DOMS, we'll see if that continues.

Great work Matt! That is some great deadlifting and a ton of volume on the squats. 20 rep squats is something I need to try soon. Keep up the good work!

20 rep squats are still something I haven't done yet.

They look fun in a not so fun way.

The high rep squats are a real nice way to get in some volume in a relatively short amount of time. Then again that doesn't take into account the time that I spent on the floor afterwards
