That's the kind of videos that made me want to lift at first. Incredible strength.

635 raw and close grip is incredible, I don't care how much he weighs.

How many other people on the planet could do that?

Definitely very few people can do this...
But the way it was done i don't know how it would transfer to a powerlifting paused bench, how much did you bench this way when you had your last meet and how much did you bench at that meet ?

It reminded me a lot of this :

I think several here haven't figured out that Robert is no meet rookie. This is one of the top raw competition lifters in the world. He has a 600 raw meet bench and an 854 raw squat (without wraps) at the APF La. a couple of years back. He also just missed a 903 wraps only squat on depth at the APF Alabama. Like me his deadlift has been his Achilles heel in the past. He's totaled over 2000 lbs raw without wraps at least once that I saw...maybe other times. Big Rob is a BEAR! I'm planning on driving over to see him and several others lift at this meet...about 30 miles or so, so it's an easy trip for me. Kick butt Robert!

Rob, what AtLarge products do you think helped you get to your current weight?

Didn't Rob say something to the effect it was "Cornbread and good home cooking" that gave him his size? I think it was the Alabama APF meet about 3 or 4 years ago. Something like that...

Is the quotation in your signature line really from "Socrates" or just Socrates Papdapolous? If the former, do you know the source? TIA
