    Precore Super Squat

Our gym has one of these. I've never used it.
    Anyone use this?

    My knees won't allow squatting.

If your knees will allow this then go for it.

We have something similar but our machine has the plates lower to the ground. I've used it, but I've broken my leg twice when I was in my teens and the last time it broke the growth has caused an improper angle so my foot sticks out 70 degrees to the right (more then it should) so I had to be careful with foot placement otherwise pain would kick in.

I have to ask, why can't you squat? Is there some serious mobility issue? Most articles I've read people with knee problems did squats (carefully) and got rid of their pain and such after building proper form and adding weight.

    Hey Bosch,

My gym has something similar. It's a machine made by "Hammer" and the platform that you stand on is the opposite angle.

I use it sometimes. It's a pretty similar quad dominant movement to a squat. I mostly used it while rehabbing from a broken ankle when I couldn't do squats yet. It sounds like it might be ideal for you if your knees will allow it.

The source of the problem is still a bit open for debate by my physical therapist. He's tried a couple of different ideas, but so far not much has helped.

We're pretty sure it's a body alignment problem, something up in the hips, glutes, etc., that's causing some misalignment of the knee joint. I'm going to get a second opinion in a month or so if I can't get some improvement with what I'm currently doing.
