I was supposed to do 395x3x3 but I just didn't have it in me. I thought I could get away with squatting first but apparently not. I hope it doesn't mess with the Coan cycle.

Definitely great form and you busted that 475! 5 plates is probably doable right now, but just go with the flow, you obviously have been doing a great job thus far.

Thanks man. Yea, I was really happy with form and depth. I came so close to smacking the pins that would have made me fail the lift too, scary stuff.

Also this morning I really did not want to go to the gym. I was out really late last night didn't fall asleep till 4:30am.

I was at a party in downtown salt lake. In an alley between two hotels, kinda ghetto. We were all drinking having a good time. This one guy could not hold his liquor and pissed of some girls so much that they left. He then started kicking chairs around and bumping against me. When he bumped against me I lightly brushed him off of me. Before I knew I was hit in the face while sitting down. Instinctively I stood up and started throwing punches(I have not been in a fight since feshman year of high school I'm a pretty calm guy). I dropped his ass so quick. I surprised myself on how quick I was though, powerlifting really does make you explosive.. After I threw punches and he dropped I kept punching him till people pushed me off. Just blind rage defending myself. Now this kid was family at the peoples house we were chilling at. So respectively I left even though I was in the right. I was still drunk and no way am I going to risk driving drunk not worth it IMO. I walked around down town salt lake talking with people from 1:00-3:00am just chatting with people and drinking coffee till I sobered up. **** was a blast!!!

If I ever need a little motivation to get to the gym this video always does the trick

Holy ****! How is your squat so high?! You're 188 and you can squat 475 in just wraps?! That 475 was a joke, too. You have 485-490 in you, possibly 495. My raw squat with just wraps is probably just over 300. **** you! LOL, I don't get it but that's beyond badass. If you dip into gear and play around with that for a year or so, you could definitely reach an elite total in the 181s, eh? You also definitely have enough muscle to move up to the 198s. Does gear not interest you?

That's one of the best training compilation videos I've ever seen. Very motivational!

Thanks Keith!! Have you not seen my child bearing hip structure? lol. No gear doesn't really interest me. Also I train alone which poses another problem with training in gear. We'll see how I feel about it in a few years. once I get a raw total of 1300 in the 181's maybe the 198's will be my new home then I will quest for a 1500lb raw total... I dunno.

Why not move up now? Your numbers will only increase as you move up. You have very impressive vascularity and separation at 188. I say move up to at least the 198s now then you can always decide down the road to properly cut to the 181s if you want to.

That will be a call I'll have to make at the end of this bulk. To be competitive in the 198's really I'd need to be around 210. And I like to be super jacked for the bitchez during the summer.

Haha, yeah, good point. Just making a point that if you're still really lean, I wouldn't hold back putting on more weight.

That's really fucking gay. I've had a couple here, too. I hate how strict they are these days that's why I basically just journal it up here. It's not fun like it used to be a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the supports guys. Got a shot of the calves today, no pump. They have definitely been growing. Despite the weight gain I still have vascularity in them the camera doesn't catch it very well.

16.5 calves are huge. Anything above 15 is impressive imo. So many guys out there with bird legs...

I started Training westside for skinny bastards on 11/16/09 so not too long, almost a year. Right now my squat hasn't been getting much attention cause of this Ed coan deadlift cycle. That was the first time I've squatted really heavy in months. The last heavy squat workout is back on page 4 lol which was on 6-20-10. My squat will explode once this ed coan cycle is over.

Once I learned how to squat to proper depth my squat really blew up. West side took it to a whole new level. Heavy singles are the way for me. My legs grow a lot off of them too. Low box speed squats with bands really blew my squat up as well. Not to mention my child bearing hips. I mean look at how ridiculous they are lol. My pant size has stayed the same since I've weighed 160lbs.

Not very good for aesthetics great for squatting.
