The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I think I'm going to start doing those weight a lighter bell as a dynamic warmup before squats. They're really easy to hit depth and get the hips nice and warm.

Yes it is a gift but also a curse. This morning I woke up at 201.8 lbs. I ate 16oz or peanuts and 32oz of whole milke before I went to bed, wtf?!?

Any reason you chain the deads in the middle as oppose to both ends? I can't imagine it matters either way though, I was just surprised to see it setup like that. What was the additional amount of chain weight you head on there at lockout?
I prefer them in the middle while pulling sumo. Conventional they will get in your way. I didn't weight them but I'm guessing 100lbs at lockout.

"The greatest feeling you can get in a gym or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is the pump. Let's say you train your biceps, blood is rushing in to your muscles and that's what we call the pump. Your muscles get a really tight feeling like your skin is going to explode any minute and its really tight and its like someone is blowing air into your muscle and it just blows up and it feels different, it feels fantastic. It's as satisfying to me as cumming is, you know, as in having sex with a woman and cumming. So can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

If you have the money to waste on the suit, then I say go for it. Try it out and see how you and the suit get along. Some people respond so well to suits, and with your strength raw you may really benefit from a suit to where you could be battling for some records.

Meh, I just dunno about geared lifting. Singly play is all fine and well I understand it for injury prevention but double and triple ply? What's the point other than having canvas help you lift the weight? I have no problem with geared lifters double and triple ply just don't appeal to me.

Interesting dynamic work, good job. I think you should stay raw as well. Once you set the raw records and you get bored, maybe THEN you can switch to single ply.

I agree about the comment regarding double and triple plys. I've only played with single plys and liked it. I liked training heavy raw and seeing what my numbers were and then jump to the single ply and see how much higher I could go. Some guys have a great amount of carry-over form raw to the suit.

"The best lifters are the ones who experiment right?" - Completely agree. Nice work Tom.

The great thing about you being so strong raw, if you want to ever suit up, you will be a force to deal with. I'm with you though, I just personally never enjoyed messing with equipment, although I did get a huge carryover from it, especially on the squat. Still, the option is there.

I'm sure I would respond well to gear. I touch low when I bench press raw a lot of people say I bench like I'm wearing a shirt and I've never worn one.

The cool thing about you Brian is your strong in and out of your gear. So many guys are strong only in their gear.
That is true, to many people spend WAY to much in gear. Which is fine, but you won't see me doing it, lol. The only time I wore gear the most is when I was doing low box speed squats.
