The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    I'm very confident I can hit a 1300 raw total at the meet. If I hit more great but I have to get at least 1300!

    Bench-310
    Deadlift-515
    Squat-475
    Total=1300
    Pretty sure I could almost open with all of those so things are looking good! I'm going to cut the weigh in so close that I might be competing 198 I'm not going to sacrifice strength I will not be cutting calories. Water loading + sodium + suana + sour skittles+puking if necessary=181

    No you don't eat them you put them in your mouth to salivate. I actually meant sour skittles. Not for dehydration for cutting weight. Spitting is one of the last methods to use which it will probably have to come down to that.

    What do you want to be at when you start cutting to 181 and also is it 2 hr or 24 hr weigh ins?

    You are seriously considering dropping weight to get to the 181 class? You are at 204 right now man! That's crazy.

    Did you wrestle back in high school? I'm asking b/c those guys always knew how to drop weight. I have never tried to drop a drastic amount of weight like that before, within such a short amount of time.

    Whatever you do should be good. I'm sure you'll do great in either weight class.

    Strong benching! I think you can definitely hit that 1300 Tom and I think you can make weight provided you have enough time.

    I know crazy huh? The thing is my set point is somewhere in the 180's its unnatural for me to weight this much I have to like crazy all day everyday I do bloat and retain with all this eating. Dropping shouldn't be as bad as it sound. No I didn't wrestle.

    Those numbers should be very doable, even at the lower weight. Will be very interesting.

    lol. I would dominate my state in the 198 class as well except for my fuking training partner he competes 198 and puts me to shame. Next bulk cycle I hope to get up to around 215 and then cut to 198.

    deadlift PR is sick way to stick with that second one where it stalled down low.

    Messy roomates suck, you should just get your own place, like a studio or something.

    Awesome deadlifts. Did you ever try using a cut up soda bottle for your shins? It works really well to prevent cuts.
