I agree with Brian Go by feel rather than percents and look to set a pr. That is advice Travis gave to me over a year ago. Where did you fail on the lift?

Everyone is different so percents won't work the same for everybody. I always go by feel and if I'm shooting for a PR I'll shoot for a 5lb PR first and then go by feel.

Sounds like a good idea. The floor, the weight was just too heavy.

You should try pulling heavy conventional for a few weeks. I have the exact opposite problem you do and doing heavy sumo rack pulls has helped my lockouts a lot. I know I've seen some other guys on here work with their non-norm stance and when they go back to the other it shoots up.

The height of the bands makes a huge difference. In the video, you have the bands sets pretty low. Maybe next time do the same setup that you pulled the 635 with, and then shoot for a PR on that setup.

Yea I'm going to start playing around with conv more. Mostly for speed and SLDL for assistance.

I didn't realize the difference I had them set actually a mistake on my behalf. I watched the video of my 635 and there's a good difference in band placement.

I know some of you guys might hate on this. I don't do it for any other reason besides convenience.

Drinking raw eggs=win. Tonight was my first time trying this. I prefer them scrambled but drinking them is so easy. Especially at night when I'm exhausted and don't want to cook. Drink 5 eggs then wash them down with 4 cups 1% milk=win.

The raw eggs? Are they the pasturised ones in a tub or just regular out of the shell ones? Hardcore no matter what.

Someone has prob suggested this but for speed off the floor, what about deficits?

Sumo pulls are generally slower off the floor and faster to lockout. You really try and murder it off the floor. Have you ever tried squeezing it off the ground more smoothly and cranking it up to lockout? I know that was a max effort so it may not truly reflect what you do. That aside, you have gained a lot in your pull in a very short time, mate. Always shifting big weights. Impressive to say the least.
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw

That's not a bad idea, something that he can try and maybe benefit from. Also, I believe deficits are great for helping you off the floor.

That is cool, but you'd be better off blending that up with a little protein powder, peanut butter, etc...you could have this prepared in advanced. Just making a suggestion or recommendation.

Hey man, I've never posted in here, but I have to tell you I follow your journal. I'm right around the same height and weight you are and it's really motivating to see the type of weight you're moving.

Putting up some huge PRs in here, keep it going bro.
