The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Thanks Brian!

Yup cut starts today. Should be a really easy cut this year. This is where I'm at currently so not much to lose.

Probably drop to 190 then recomp or slowly gain till bulking season.
    I'm starting at 4,000 calories 40p/35c/25f

Agreed! Your cut will be very simple. What's the 4,000 calories a drop from? You'll look so much better come June compared to where you were last time you dieted down. You were very lean last time around, but the added muscle will do wonders for your overall appearance!

I bet you won't want to bulk back up, haha, you're going to want to stay sexy!

Drop from around 6kish. I was getting really efficient at optimizing maximal calories with things such as gallon of milk a day and drinking raw eggs. I could not get 6k down everyday through solid foods.

My sister messed up on the bench vid. It was probably the easiest of all the lifts undershot myself big time. Yea I swear I have a over reactive thyroid or something its crazy. I've been doing great with my macros but hitting 4,000 while keeping my fat down is really hard I may need to adjust something here. I've been getting around 3,000 cals in and I'm losing weight way too fast. I woke up at 196 this morning fuuuu that's over 10lbs in a week.

    Thanks Ryan.

Cheat day today woot woot! I'm going to devour an entire pizza, with salt 'n vinegar chips and cookies and cream candy bar. Lord knows I need it woke up at 194 but then again I was out all night didn't go to bed till 6am last night.

God I love going to the Bar/club. Ever since I put on more size I definitely get a lot more attention. Last night some fine blond chick smacked my ass as I walked by I ended up hooking up and dancing with her all night. Then me and my buddy brought two girls to my place we met in the parking lot lol! I also like giving out my business card to women at the bar they all admire my training skills.

    I resume training on Tuesday!

Pretty solid day. Front squats with chains worked the shit out of my core! That was probably the hardest part keeping my core tight against those chains.

Cmanuel and Athos are gone ... Both were huge contributors to journal land, including most of the little crew we have in this journal. I still talk with Chip, I wish I had Steve(Athos) facebook or something. His posts were one of my favorites. I was hoping it was only a temporary ban but all his threads including his journal have been deleted.

The strange thing is Athos was always really respectful and a calm guy.

    Thanks ^^!!

I posted Benny's 1015 DL on utah powerliftings facebook and I got this in return...

Thomas FIRST OF ALL I TOTALLY AGREE 1015 DEADLIFT IS SO AMAZING! but thats your opinion! WHEN I SQUAT 744 @ 148 that will be a 5X body weight Squat, to me that is a better lift then if a lifter Squats 900 @ 198 which is 4.5 X body weight S...quat even though the 198 lifter Squatted 156 lbs more! To me that is more of what Powerlifting is about then over all weight lifted, and thats just my opininion I know! and Andy pulled 1008 at less body weight then Benedikts 1015 , even though Andy was in Gear to me Andy'd pull was a better lift! ONCE AGAIN THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, THE WAY I LOOK AT OUR SPORT!
I don't even know what to say lol.

    Nice front squats.

It's called powerlifting, not wilks-lifting. I think people get too caught up in their wilks points and sacrifice strength in order to lower their bodyweight. At the end of the day, people will remember the 1015 lb deadlift, not the 744 pound squat.
