The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Thanks! It felt good to get under some heavy weight!

New exercise I came up with or at least I think I did, never seen them before. I call them diamond pulls. Great for the posterior deltoids. You'll notice I vary the resistance by stepping back and stepping forward.

I just happened to peak in your journal this morning and I watched this vid. Tried these tonight at the gym and they blew up my rear delts/traps. I like them. I think I got in the habit of just doing some face pulls for too long and I needed something like this to switch it up. Good stuff. Nice squatting too BTW!

Hey, thanks for stopping in! Yea, they're awesome for the rear delts! I love how a drop set can be added in by stepping forward.

Yesterday I was feeling tired and beat up. Didn't even want to train. So all I did was the main movement some reverse hypers and went home.

    Deadlift

Going to do some t2b EMOM tonight and some airdyne/sled drag/farmer walk intervals.

Just a miniband. When you step back far enough its challenging.

Last night I weighed 206lbs. WTF? I like to keep my weight around 212/215 during the day and 210 in the morning. I track my calories everyday and have consistently been hitting 4,000-4,500 calories per day. I have been falling short on carbs only hitting around 200 net. But still I was not expecting that big of a loss. I definitely felt it benching today.

Man I would hate to have your metabolism trying to bulk right now. I'm struggling to put weight on eating 4k a day. I love food but I'm starting to get sick of eating this much while staying "clean". I could eat 10k calories of ice cream a day but getting most of my carbs from potatoes and pasta fucking blows.

    540x1
    550x1

10lbs away from my all time PR. Probably could have got 560 if I planned for it. I was only planning on hitting 525 lol.
405x8-Hips are my limiting factor for sure. Had more in the quads hips were giving out though.

Today's conditioning is going to be an ascending ladder from ten Toes to bar, wall ball, barbell row.

Then I'm going to do some lateral sled drags for my hips and lower back stuff....

    Thanks guys!

Conditioning today Descending ladder from 10 Toes to bar, Wall Ball-#20 10' Barbell Row-115

    11:37

Having a little bit of "Wod Grief" right now. My issue with these descending ladders is usually going to hard out the gate then dragging ass from 6 and on. Today I took it steady, took my time transitioning did everything consistent and unbroken. Could have gone faster though.

Could you outline some other triple extension work? I've been struggling to get better at olympic lifts for a year now and haven't even seen the good lifters at my gym do a 300# hang.

Box jumps kb swings. I think speed squats and dead help too. Really though just having a powerlifting base helps. I have a lot of untapped strength in oly lifting that can be uncovered with more technique work. I front squat 425 so I have a lot of room to progress in my clean.
