    lack of isolation

    I'm probably very wrong but lets say doing just flat bench, am I cheating myself on my upper chest? I've always done incline and flat. or are you hitting the upper while doing flat and other lifts like standing over head presses.

    Isolation isn't needed to gain strength. Strength is what is going to build the muscles. Re-read the science article.
