    06/03/2010 - Deadlifts

    worked up to 257.5kg x 5/5/6 (568lbs)

    Speed Box Squats 80kg + Double Choked Blues (~40kg at top) 10 x 2, 30-45 secs rest
    BB Shrugs 140kg x 10/10/10
    R/D D/B 22kg x 12/12/12
    Pinch Grip
    Abs

Good day again today, I was originally shrugging 200kg and one of my straps snapped so dropped it down to 140 with a double overhand grip, my traps are now losing out till my grip gets better as I'm maning up and not getting any more straps. Thought it was about time and this is as good an excuse as any.

Massive night at the union tonight so debatably I'm going to lose everything I've worked for today! I've also got my nationals in a few weeks and there's far too much stuff going on. I'm not very good at saying no.. Everyone have a good weekend!

I can't access the videos with my phone, but that's a quality session with a big ol max set for the deads. Tear it up at Nationals.

    Your DLs are scary.

Cool vid. I used to have a few one nation discs years ago. I still have a bit of bukem and conrad on my ipod, lol. Thats about all I could handle tolerate these days.

Hope you had/have a good one!

Great session with the DLs and then the speed squats. I'm sure the grip will come along quickly

I'm keeping the straps handy, lol - glad you are taking a different approach and doing without them...way to man up.

    09/03/10 - Bench

    Worked up to 145kg x 3/3/4 (320lbs)

    Wide Grip, 3 sec Pause Bench 127.5kg x 5/5/5
    Pull Ups 8kg x 10/10/5/5/5/5
    Dips 65kg x 5/5/5/5/5
    D/B Shoulder Press 32kg x 10/10/10

Couldn't train yesterday so moved it to today. Felt tired as hell, munched my way through a pack of jaffa cakes and 1 litre of red bull before I'd even finished warming up for bench.. didn't seem to help that much annoyingly! AC/DC made their comeback in the gym today too..

It was pretty sick, spent the entire of Sunday watching films and eating takeaway tho... Don't recognise the names I'm afraid, I'm not the biggest fan of strict dnb to be honest, more into breaks or electro house, anything with a tonne of filthy bass!

Don't blame you to be honest, my hands were on fire after Saturdays training!

HA! Nice. Way to get in some work. That's rough when a Red Bull/ AC DC combo can't rev you up. Still got some heavy stuff in though.

    10/03/2010 - Squats

    worked up to 200kg x 3/3 (440lbs)

    Smith Calves 120kg x 12/12/12/12/12
    Ghetto GHR (Negatives) 0kg x 5/5/5
    Facepulls + Abs

Didn't do the 3rd set of squats today as my knee started to really hurt again, still hurts walking up stairs now, haven't been stretching recently so I'm hoping this'll fix it..
Similar story to yesterday too, just feel shattered all the time - needless to say I'm getting well grumpy about it

Thanks for all the support guys.

200kg triples is still pretty damn strong. Good luck on getting the knee sorted.

Yeah sorry about the knee. Nice squats though, oh and those DL's are sick man. Why are you feeling shattered all the time? Not enough sleep you say? Have you had a break from weight training in a while? Anyway, keep it up.

    11/03/10 - Military

    worked up to 90kg x 7 (198lbs)

    CGBP 135kg x 5/4/5 (All reps paused)

    D/B Rows 70kg x 6/6/8

Thanks boys. Yeah I've not had much sleep at the moment which is probably it. I'm in a bit of a transition in uni between taught stuff and lab research so I've still got lectures/deadlines to meet whilst also trying to get my lab stuff underway.. Doesn't help that I'm still ill too - I go to get the results of my chest x-ray on Monday, I've also now got a throat infection to boot! I'm sorted for excuses for a while I reckon!
@ fixationdarknes loving the signiture mate, keeps cracking me up..

Doing very well, especially for feeling subpar and being in transition.

First off, 600lbs for five reps is nuts. Secondly, I think that powerlifters, on this board at least, are in serious danger of losing the meathead stereotypes. Wayyy too many smart and educated people around here

As Coke said being banged up comes with the territory. Looks like you are doing well in and out of the gym despite the occasional blips life throws our way.
