I generally deadlift conventional with a few sets of mixed grip thrown in. I seem unbalance sometimes
With a mixed grip. By unbalance I mean it seems like one of the shoulders isn't equal to the other one
and the bar doesn't come up perfectly straight. One side might be an inch or so off the shins.
It's probably poor hand placement. What's a good rule of thumb for set up (handwise) and if you
Think anything else applies I'm certainly listening.
I used mixed grip on barbell rows and using mixed grip on deads wasn't an issue. You are stronger with a mixed grip. You may have to reduce the weight to learn the technique but mixed grip will give you the best results.
It's easy (and common!) to have a slight bend in one arm without realizing it. You may want to make a conscious effort to straighten your arms, both on the pull and on lowering the weight.
I think it's hand placement and I'm pretty good about keeping my arms straight conventionally. Maybe
Not mixed. I'll try and see if it helps. Just in case how do you line up your hands on the bar? Thx
