hey everyone I am just wondering do all federations have the same specs for gear as others I was reading the IPF handbook and I just wanted to make sure...for wrist wraps it said one meter so i'm guessing you cant go over 12 inches and what is the specs for knee wraps...knee sleeves i'm buying from APT called Rehband, there are pretty legit and some basturd stole my belt so I'm considering buying either the Pr belt from inzer or the forever lever belt 13mm..which one would you guys recommend? I do the full meet so your input would be greatly appreciated! thx.
All feds have different specs for gear. Also one meter is closer to 3.28 feet. I would read the book closely and contact someone affiliated with the federation if you are unsure. Most gear distributors will also be able to let you know which gear is legal in what federation.
PRs: 655/525/645 = 1825 Total
Meet PRs: Bench Only 525

ok what about the belts...how is the Pr belt by inzer? I hear bobs belts are pretty legit as well..
The PR belt is not legal in IPF as well as many feds.....Also you will note when on Inzer, Metal or Titans website, they often (not always) note IPF legal on most equipment that is IPF legal on their shirts, squat suits. Single ply only for IPF.......As for wraps: Knee -2.0 meter is max & wrist wraps: 36" is max
Just get a 13mm lever or buckle from any of the reputable mfg's and you will be ok. Titan, Inzer, elite, APT....etc

h ttp://powerlifting-ipf.com/Approved-List.51.0.html Ipf's Approved List
Rehbands and Tommy Kono's are pretty popular knee sleeves (note in USAPL they have to be neoprene)
Besides Inzer, APT and Safe USA make some decent belts.
Bundle everything on APT and use their 2FREE code to get 15% off and a free pair of 12" wrist wraps for training.
If you go with a certain type of wrist wrap or knee wrap, make sure the style fits you...aka don't buy convict knee wraps if you need more rebound and a stretchier wrap versus a cast like wrap with stopping power
Edit: belts, knee sleeves, and singlets are not under this approved list...they just have to meet the standards set forth in the IPF rulebook.

thanks! just to be safe I'm going to try the hybrid wrist wraps from APT and then go from there if I need another pair based on my judgement of what I need like you stated in your post Bloodandthunder...thanks this helps out a lot.
