    What kind of cardio do you do for cutting?

    now that winter will be coming to an end in a bit and i've put on a bit of a gut from bulking its time that i start thinking about cutting in the next month or so. what do you guys do or what do you think is the best kind of cardio to do on non-workout days to shed fat, but maintain the muscle gained from bulking? thanks

    Of course your cutting will begin in the kitchen. Your cardio should be a supplement to your cutting diet.

    But when you are doing cardio, a lot of people find low intensity cardio for 30+ minutes to be beneficial.

    Different people will respond differently though.

    I find low intensity cardio to be so very boring. I prefer to do HIT intervals on the eliptical or sled pulling. I'm experimenting right now with HIT intervals with the sled.

    I tell the wife to clean the frickin house and that her cooking sucks........


    then i run like hell
    Bench: Half a subway club
    Squat: to pee
    Deadlift: no thanks

    Off-road,

    I'm considering starting HIIT in two weeks, for the same reason as the original poster. I'm curious to know how you think it's going.

    It's going very well. I'm on a very slooooow cut, but I've dropped about 10 lbs in the last few months. The biggest benefit is that my conditioning and work capacity has improved a great deal. Of course diet is the key factor in dropping body fat.
