I just finished a 10 week strength training stint-low weight high reps now I want to switch to bulk for the next 6 weeks or so but not sure which would be the most effective sets/reps combo. you always hear/read people say do 3 sets some say 4 sets per exercise. Then when it comes to reps some say use same weight but decrease the number of reps with each set-ex. 10reps, 8 reps, 6 reps. Then some say pyramid up with weight and decrease reps with each set. ex- 1st set x-amount of weight for 10 reps, 2nd set more weight for 8 reps, 3rd set more weight for 6 reps. Then some suggest pyramid up the weight but end with a set to failure. Has anyone had decent success with any of these types while trying to bulk up? Or does anyone have any other suggestions I might try? Thanks for the help
