After SS I hope to do a fat loss program with 4 sessions a week.
Whats the best way to maintain strength during this-
work up to 3-5 heavy reps on the squat at the start of one session and similar with the bench on another session?

Stay with Starting Strength, try to maintain your lifts while cutting your calories. If you need extra work to burn more calories, use some cardio, GPP, or HITT.
I can't speak from experience, but I've heard keto is the best way to maintain muscle and strength while cutting.
