    TGIF did you meet your goals this week?

    Gained two pounds... check.
    Up 5 lbs in big three... check.
    Made two sales at work...check.

    How about you?

    after a few quad injuries, i finally squatted over 200 for 3 sets 2 reps after going on vacation for 10 days and it wasn't that bad.

    i didn't get to lift the last 2 days because of crazy snow, but tomorrow i will hopefully get my 265x5 deadlift for 2 sets.

    Been stuck in a hotel all week. I've got dumbbells here, but no other free weights. I usually take opportunities like this to do some aerobic conditioning workouts (think Crossfit), and give myself a break from the heavy stuff.

    I came in here thinking this was going to be a food thread about TGIF the restaurant. Blah, I'll take my fat ass else where.

    Goal this week: good rest tonight for a serious bench session tomorrow

    worked with students - check
    got some solid training in - check
    will train tonight - check

    Not a bad week.
    A child does not learn to squat from the top down. In other words, he does not suddenly make a conscious decision one day to squat. Actually, he is squatting one day and make the conscious decision to stand. Squatting precedes standing in the developmental sequence. This is the way a child's brain learns to use the body as the child develops movement patterns. Therefore, a child is probably crawling, rocks back into a squatting position with the back completely relaxed and the hips completely flexed, and stands when he has enough hip strength. This approach makes a lot of sense and can be applied to relearning the deep squat movement if it is lost. -Gray Cook

    Keep up the Intensity in my workouts- Check
    Run to the olympic stadium near my house- Check
    Weight: 165lbs

    Lifts: [Currently]
    BP: 205lbs(Goal:235lbs)
    Deads: 325lbs(Goal: 400lbs)
    Squats:275lbs(Goal: 300lbs)

    Well at that rate you'll probably stay quite a bit leaner but your gains in weights will probably come much slower.
