The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

What degrees do you people have?

I commend all the folk on this site who contribute with all the knowledge they possess, whether it be dealing with biological processes of the body, nutrition, strength training, etc.

I know you don't necessarily have to have a degree to be well-educated in a field, but I don't doubt a lot of you do have them, so I'm curious - what kinds of degrees do you have? I've always wanted to major in Music production/composition or something along those lines, but recently I've been thinking about what else I want to study in addition to that. Perhaps minor in it (would that even be useful though?)

(Even if the degree isn't related to diet/lifting/training or the human body in any way shape or form, I'd still be interested in what you've studied in school.)

I did my undergrad with a BS in biochemistry and I'll be finding soon if I'll be starting my MD next year, or if I have to reapply in the summer (I applied really late in the cycle this year so if I get in it's going to be a pleasant surprise).

I have a BA in Psychology, and am completing a diploma program to become an Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant.

At the end of the day, my advice to you would be to do what you enjoy (I know this sounds obvious, but it isn't always).

    B.A. - Biology and Music

With that I somehow ended up with a career in Finance where I have attained the CFA charter (akin to a self-study MBA in finance) and Financial Risk Manager designation. Being unemployed for so long makes me really think hard about a career change.

yes, i still am presently. however, i just started a new job in November outside of the public sector and i seriously doubt i'm going to continue the 40 hours/yr of CE to keep my license current. i don't ever see myself getting back into that mess again. i'm busting my buddies' balls right now when they tell me they're working 70 hours a week. i don't miss that at all.
