The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

you do all this in one day?

regardless, one look at your leg exercises tells me you have a few things to learn (no offense). my advise is to read the stickies on this board, specifically the one about "starting strength". you could do really well on that program compared to what you're doing right now. also read up on the diet/nutrition info here. it doesn't matter what you do in the gym, if you aren't getting enough calories and protein, you're never gonna be big. you might get stronger and stronger but size will come very slowly and eventually (probably sooner rather than later) you will plateau.

look around the site, read some articles, and come back with more specific questions if you feel so inclined.

i'm gonna move this to the BB forum for you. a good start for you would be to read the various stickies and articles around here. this is a very open ended question that is not easily answered. you'll learn a lot around here just by doing some reading. you'll also get much better responses to your questions by posting educated questions.

You have a total of four identical posts. One is enough I think. I removed the other three and merged people's replies into this one.

did you read the Starting Strength thread like i suggested? that would be a good start. Also look at the WBB routines (i think they're in a sticky as well). Pick one you like. As a beginner it's a good idea to start with a pre-made routine.

Too much volume, too much isolation. Read the stickies for some good workout plans.
