Hey guy, my Lean Gain Q&A is finished up and will be posted on Monday.
My next Q&A will be on Very Low Carb Dieting - please post your questions here. Anything related to low carb dieting is game - the diet itself, refeeds, supplements, cardio, training, etc.
I recently released a new e-book at www.EliteFTS.com on very low carb dieting, if anyone is interested:
During a low carb diet do you still want to have 70 grams of fast digesting carbs after a hard leg workout?
Additionally would you alter this according to the >100g or >50g situations and for heavy/non training days?
I actually just read your very low carb diet e-book and am currently implementhing it with sucess. My question is in regards to fiber. During my refeed I plan to eat one of my favorite carb snacks which is high fiber oatmeal. Out of the 36G of carbs around 10 are fiber. Do I count these towards my macros for the day?
ďAs to the methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble.Ē
do you suggest not having any carbs before workout and only post or some before and some carbs after? Also do you think protein and carbs before postworkout cardio is detrimental to fat loss or no difference?
Train insane or remain the same.
" shut up and lift"
I felt lousy on a previous low carb diet. Does that mean they aren't for me?
What do you personally think of programs such as the Anabolic Diet? Also, is there a limit to the fat you should be eating during low-carb periods, for health reasons or otherwise. Also, is it true that if you stay on a low-carb diet for long enough and provide your body enough fats, your body will eventually begin use fat for fuel on a regular basis? Thank you Shelby.
One more question. Do you think low carb diets are effective for lean bulking, or is a more balanced diet more effective?
Great questions guys - keep them coming!
In your opinion what are the best carb sources on a low carb diet? Do you lean more towards brown rice, oats yams or various low GI fruit's or berries? And do you find on average certain sources keep you felling fuller for longer periods of time?
Success is achieved by doing a little more than you thought you could, and a lot more than anyone else.
