The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Cross Country drive ends in damaged car, dead animals.

On Tuesday afternoon, I left my college town of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, to return home to Vancouver, B.C. a trip of approximately 2200 Miles. I arrived in vancouver at about 12pm on thursday morning after staying the night in seattle. Up to seattle I drove continously for about 32 hours and 2100 miles.
Early Wednesday morning at about 4:30 I was driving on 1-90 West in South Dakota. Going at about 90Mph, I see two large, what I believe where albino deer, in the road. I slam on my brakes and turn for the rear of the back deer. I estimate I hit the deer going between 75 and 80mph, causing me to go into a spin and end up on the bank off the side of the road. Probably one of the scariest moments of my life. It turns out I also hit a pole or something on the side of the road which damaged the back of my passenger side as well.
I have some pictures of the car but they're too big to upload.

**** I've spun out and drove up a bank before at about 50mph and it was ****ing intense. I can't even imagine how scary that was. Glad you're ok.

I did something similar. Just no spinning. I was driving through North Dakota from Great Falls, Montana and Minot, North Dakota. I was only driving about 70 mph at night, and hit two deer. I slowed down to about 50mph, one deer hit the front fender, the other one the back door. Neither of the deer died. In fact, as I got out of my car all pissed I saw one run off over a hill. I still drive the same car, dents and all.

That ****'s scary, man. The fact that you are okay is the best part about it, though. I flipped my car a few times in an embankment once (slid on a wet highway off-ramp) and both my friend and I who were in the car were just fine. No injuries at all. Thanks God for seatbelts. Car was totaled but I was just happy to be alive and not injured.

Thats exactly how I felt. I felt happy to still be alive, but I was also happy I wasn't stranded in central south Dakota.

Drive1-90 in South Dakota between 1-4am and the answer is very clear. Police aren't setting speed traps at that time in south dakota.

Little update. The insurance company decided to write the car off so it looks like I'm going to get 4500 for the car.

Always smart to go 1.5x the speed limit on no sleep.
