    Full Power Meet Today April 3, 2010

    I have a full power meet today, the AAPF/APF meet in Sandy Utah ( at the gym where I train ). I went to bed too early, woke up too early and now wide awake, so I thought I'd waste some time by babbling here. I'd say the last two months or so, I've felt amazingly good, incredibly good, probably better than I have in 20 years. I think a lot of it is because I've started stretching, a lot, but I hope that means something for my performance today. I'm hoping to squat 638, bench 429, and deadlift 594. My lifts at the meet last fall were 495,402,525, so even a bad day today should be a huge increase over my last meet. I weighed in last night at 325 which is 5 pounds less than my meet last fall and it's the lightest I've been in a while ( too much skiing up at Snowbird which will probably remain the case until June ) If you ever wondered what a 6'8" 330 pound powerlifter looks like skiing in 20" of new powder look at this ( it's in hd, click on it and watch it full screen through youtube )..


    I better do well at the meet today, because yesterday I missed what my snowboard buddy described as the 3rd best powder day at Snowbird in his entire life and he's been skiing/snowboarding for 30+ years.

    Well, I guess that's enough babbling, maybe I can sleep some more now.
