The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

**Runs around with shirt over face waving USA flag**

I watched it live this morning (at 2 freaking 30). Wife is now pissed as I woke her up yelling and cheering goals.

This is HUGE for US soccer, and few people here even know who the US was playing. A shame.

Brazil didn't really deserve to win that match. I too can see England beating them.

I can also see the US beating Germany. Germany are such a poor side right now.

Yea we suffer from footballitis (adidas spot)

Belgium scored a goal in the first half but the ref didn't count it cuz he saw a foul!!

Anyway, it's better to watch a game between England and Brazil in Friday morning.. (09:30 local time GMT +2)

It would be so great if the time zones were more reasonable to coincide with the US' great performance. I just fear that the impact won't be as significant with less of the NA populace watching most of the games.

I haven't managed to watch a single game live so far and I was really looking forward to this world cup.

You're not far off there, mate.

    They play with two defenders.

Carlos and cafú are pretty much wingers.

I expect they'll have a nasty shock when they actually play against some "proper" opposition.

I think it is sad that I couldn't get away from coverage of Roger Clemens actually batting against the Mets (ooohhhh, are they gona throw at him as retalliation 2 years after he beaned Piazza... sissies. Take the BAT to 'im, I say).. yet no one understands the implications of the US team making it this far.

Part of that is the time difference, but not all of it. Had Mexico won, today would be a national holiday there. Only a couple of people in my office even knew there WAS a US game this morning.

That's is Brazil style of playing, and they play it well. Right now Brazil is the best team playing, and the U.S a close second.

breeze..i would call it jumping on the world cup badnwagon, more than calling it jumping on the US bandwagon. I mean if your an american who else would you support, considering it's a matter of national pride?

to be honest, i wasn't expecting the US to get this far....and i'm still betting it will boil down to UK v Brazil fo the cup, but it's refreshing to see the US doing well.

D-hude! Are we watching the same world cup here? (in reference to your first "best team" comment.)

i wouldn't make that bet darlin...they play each other next game so it can't happen, as one of those teams will be eliminated.

    yeah?

i'm still trying to figure out how this competition actually works....so who then do you think? or is it too early to tell?

and on another note...why would two of the better teams out there play an elimination round so early? how come that happened?
