The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

That's because Seaman is garbage and you know it. I can't understand why they wouldn't play the other guy...what's his name...David James or something...so much better than Seawoman.

I can't believe you just said that, Vido.

I love watching old clips on Morpheus of Seaman looking as bad as ever (diving the wrong way, not even moving while a harmless looking shot floats over his head...LMAO just thinking about him). I want England to beat Brazil, but I think the only way they will is if Seaman gets injured in the first few minutes or has the flu or something and James has to play.

Order of England's goalies should be:
    1) David James
    2) Nigel Martyn
    3) David Beckham
    4) David Seaman

Cant believe Italia is out . The Koreans and the referee put a strong game, yet not strong enough. I would have prefered to lose 3-0 than losing like that, especially with that dumb bastard sending Totti to the showers at the end...Anyway I hope the BEST team wins, it reminds me of brasil vrs. france in 1998, pretty $trange game..you know what I mean.

i think vido is on drugs lol.

Our defence is rock solid because we have rio ferdinand (imo the best player of the tournament), sol cambell, ashley cole etc.

Seaman = ace he has only let one goal in so far! His experience and skill makes him the number one goalie. David james is a good goalie but he is young and he does make some silly mistakes.

Japan should have beaten Turkey. Anyone watching the game and knows the game of soccer would see that. If they only capitalized on their chances.

I'm very excited that the Asians have one team through and the Africans another.

My dad was mentioning this to me on the phone the other night and I totally agree. In the years to come we're going to see a surge of the teams in the bottom end coming up. Pretty soon the power house teams will be non exsistant. They will all be strong contenders.
Just look at the African teams and the Asians.
Compared to the last world cup they have improved a ton.

    Go Senegal and Asia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    England sucks.

As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

What do you guys think of this?

    http://worldcup.espnsoccernet.com/st...217927&lang=en

Personally, I think this shows a lack of class from Italy's perspective, however, I think I can understand their anger, although, it's misdirected.

I haven't watched much of this world cup, but I know that the officiating in the Italy/Croatia game was extremely biased or seemed to be. When mistakes end up costing a team a game in an event as big as this it must be addressed. Also, I have listened to the opinions of soccer fans, who normally would not cheer for Italy say that the same thing happened in the Korea game and that a goal scored by Italy ruled offside was in fact "onside" and that in general the game was poorly done.

I'm just curious on the thoughts of others. Italy has been a consistently strong team through soccer history, although, there are many haters of the team as well...so just want some objective opinions.

In an event as significant as this what do you guys think of instituting instant replay in the case of goals and penalty kicks? It works in other sports and shouldn't slow the game down very much since there aren't as many goals in soccer as in other sports. I just feel that if something like this happens once every 4 years and I got knocked out because of bad officiating I'd be pretty pissed.

Ps. I'm happy for S. Korea and would have liked to have seen Japan advance as well. I think this World Cup will have many benefits for both of these countries.

damn...that is kind of ugly. *lol*

i'm wondering about the instant replay too. going back tot he US/Mexico handball right in front of the goal......it was quite obvious, on the replay that the handball happened, and Mexico should have gotten a penalty kick for it.....but the refs didn't catch it, therefore it didn't happen.

Exactly...and now 4 years of shame for a team that potentially didn't make many mistakes...this is the only pain I feel in the Italy losses. The Croatia game should have been a win which would have had them first in the group which means an entirely different draw...but even after all that the S. Korea victory is tainted. It doesn't do well for the losers...but also the winners may not feel as proud. Refs should enforce the rules, not decide the outcome. The best refs are the ones you don't notice in a game.

As much as I don't like the US I will say that they have a great team. They have improved quite a bit from their last world cup performance.
I believe it comes down to funding.
Here in Canada there is almost no funding for soccer.

    Unless it's hockey.
"It is often said, mainly by the "no-contests", that although there is no positive evidence for the existence of God, nor is there evidence against his existence. So it is best to keep an open mind and be agnostic. At first sight that seems an unassailable position, at least in the weak sense of Pascal's wager. But on second thought it seems a cop-out, because the same could be said of Father Christmas and tooth fairies. There may be fairies at the bottom of the garden. There is no evidence for it, but you can't prove that there aren't any, so shouldn't we be agnostic with respect to fairies?"

    Richard Dawkins

"Out of all of the sects in the world, we notice an uncanny coincidence: the overwhelming majority just happen to choose the one that their parents belong to. Not the sect that has the best evidence in its favour, the best miracles, the best moral code, the best cathedral, the best stained glass, the best music: when it comes to choosing from the smorgasbord of available religions, their potential virtues seem to count for nothing, compared to the matter of heredity. This is an unmistakable fact; nobody could seriously deny it. Yet people with full knowledge of the arbitrary nature of this heredity, somehow manage to go on believing in their religion, often with such fanaticism that they are prepared to murder people who follow a different one."

    Richard Dawkins
