    Done. Good workout. the 520 was with a thicker bar and no chalk. belt only. so i was happy with that. the the routine called for 5 sets of 3 on the speed pulls, but the back was fried so i only got 4 sets.

    yea i know, the hernia thing is a little weird. but it doesnt hurt when i lift, so i lift..haha

    Hernia issues. took a week off..BOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! surgery in a little over a week. might shut it down all together till after surgery and recovery...

    BTW, where would you recommend to train that is around Alabaster. I'll be down there for a week around X-Mas and I may try to ditch my family for a session. I've been to Birmingham Barbell and its great but wanted to know if there was something closer.

    Ymca...

    The YMCA is Alabaster is pretty good. Used to be called "The Body Shop" but changed ownership last month and became the Y. Its on 119 across from the Publix Store. If you know where that is, you'll be fine.

    hmmmm...will have to look into that. I've been trying to get my Dad to switch from Snap Fitness to a real gym and the Y would give him a lot of other things to do also. Thanks for tip.

    Done. figured id get one good work out in before surgery. took the last 9 days off, so this felt great. the no hands squat was something ive been meaning to try. its a neat lift. i think i could have gotten 365, but wanted to take it easy. hernia surgery mid-week, then thanksgiving. cant wait. lost in the playoffs last night, so football is done with. time to recup from surgery and come back strong in the new year.

    exactly what it says thomas, a squat with hands off the bar. its more of a balancing act than anything. koklyeav made it famous recently. its interesting to do. i have relatively large traps, so its easy to find a groove to balance the weight. i'll try and get a video up. just google misha koklyeav and see what you get.
