Not just yet OR, I have decided to snap out of my current low, I will give Hct-12 my all for five weeks to another de- load. I will not budge on my diet either an see how it goes. I do not have enough experience or knowledge to create my own program! I hate quitting so I will start from today.

    Goals for 5 weeks
    Current/goal

    Deadlift 115/125
    Squat 120/135
    Bench 80/87.5
    Weight 164/172

Sorry if it seems I am flitting between ideas but I am! It has helped to get it all written down actually, reading back through my journal has helped me reach this decision!

Thanks and here is to another good five weeks.

    Legs Day

    Squats

    6+2+2+2x120KG (264LBS)

    Deads

    6+2+2+2x110KG (242LBS)

Pullups Did these rather than curls today as the free weight are was packed

    6+2+2+2xBodyweight (Wide Grip)

Felt good today! The gym owner, a former pro Bodybuilder commented on my squat form and said it was as near to perfect as he has seen in a long while so that made me happy, as it was on my last cluster! Maybe I will post some videos soon...

    Time for food soo hungry

Daniel, a question for you, (Or anyone that wants to answer it!) it just so happened that I was eyeing up the Farmers walk kit at the gym today, and after reading the latest article 'Weighed Carry for Size and Strength' is there any reason I cant add these at the end of my legs day? my upper body should be fresh enough... It would be great for my girly grip as well.

I'm not sure yet. It's between HCT, DC, or a sets accross routine. I've got my strength back to where I want it, so now I want to give some hypertrophy training another shot.

    Upper Body

Long week, little sleep last night and not enough food this morning but here it is...

    Bench

    6+2+2+2x75KG (165LBS)

    DB Row

    6+2+2+2x35KG (77LBS)

    Shoulder Press

    6+2+2+2x25KG (55LBS) That was F***ing hard!

    Pullups

4x4 Wide grip, couldn't muster a full cluster set after the rows.

    Core to finish

Not a great session, but all the while my squat is going up along with my deads I am making progress and that is the most important thing, I feel that 300LBS squat is just around the corner Progress is everything and not to be shunned at!

    Massive session again

    Squats

6x125kg did not do the clusters dropped it to 110 for them due to no spotter

    Deadlifts

6+++2x 110kg bit lower but the Squats took some real doing!

Core to finish happy with the Squats as usual ty are going well, the deads also felt a lot easier than they have done before so I think they will be moving too soon

Shouldn't be a problem Kiff. And good job on getting your head straight and congratulations on the progress. The comment on squat form should please you, because it'll allow a great foundation for what I'm sure is going to be a big lift for you.

Great stuff Kiff. Nice to see the enthusiasm and successful lifting. Definitely try the finishers, like Farmers Walk, Sandbag Carries, and Loading Drills. If things stall out then you can drop them. But, the extra conditioning they bring should be of a benefit.

I did mate! Put a picture of the kit and the weight I started on, that was enough for the first time, anyway I will get to that....

    Squat

6+2+2+2x130KG (287LBS) New PR! I could get a rep of 300 no problem I think. Had two spotters today telling me when I was below Parallel

    Deadlift

5x115KG (253LBS) I did not have the stamina to manage clusters after the squats so I topped these off with some SLDL's

    SLDL

6x90KG (198LBS) This is a new PR it came from not being bothered to deload too much weight so i just manned the f*** up

    Weighted Carry

    40KG Each hand 20Meters

Very happy with today, a PR for my Squat, equalled my PR weight wise in my Regular Dead's and a PR in my SLDL, new diet, renewed motivation and a whole load of sweat

    Kiff

Thanks everyone for helping drag me through my slump well out of the ditch now, i don't even care that my Debit Card got stolen today anymore

Its very difficult to go all out on squat and deadlift (especially for reps) on the same day. Congrats on the PR!

Thanks mate it was a lot of effort, considering dropping either squat or deads at some point for a bit see how it goes on the crest of a wave at the moment...
