    Slight shoulder niggle

After the work yesterday i have an odd niggle in my shoulder it hurts to stretch and raise it.

It feels a bit knotted, i dont know if anyone has had this before or not but it seems a little odd.

Yep, you may want to do a bit of light foam rolling on it or perhaps get some deep tissue massage done and take it easy for a bit.

Yeah took yesterd off so missed one session but shoulder does feel ebtter today and i went in to the gym no probs today.

    Anyhow here is my workout

    Bench

    6x55KG(121LBS)
    6x60KG (132LBS)
6x60KG(132LBS) Added 5KG taking it to 143LBS for the +2's really happy with that hopefully next time i can manage the 6 on 65 as well but that was a good gain for me!

Pull Ups-First time i have managed to ADD weight

    6x15KG Assist
    6xBodyweight
    6+2+2+2 6KG weight (13.2LBS)

    Dips

    6xbodyweight
    6x+10KG (22(LBS)
    6+2+2+2x12KG (26.5LBS)

    Rows

    6x55KG(121LBS)
    6x65KG (143LBS)
    6x70KG (154LBS)

    Core to End

3x8 Situps with 5KG weight off a bench.

The Bench was a great success for me, although the number of sets was down on most exercises i really felt tierd today as i am a bit ill so i thought it was best to cut the sets in order to keep the weight up!

Still making good gains both weight, bulk and strength wise still a great workout!

    Cheers for everyones input!

Next workout Wednesday 26TH May 2010

I am working 12hour night shifts this week and next 4days on 4 days off so it will be intresting to see how my body copes

I used to love working the night shift. It definitely messes with your sleep patterns, but I thought it was a fun shift.

Good work mate! Nice to see another English lad in here as well. What night shift do you work? I used to work the night shift as well. Fun while it lasted but I couldn't hack it long term.

That bench press is the most impressive to me. For a beginner that's a a nice weight-to-bodyweight..
I'm sure you'll get to a 100kg squat in no time as well. It will feel good to get that second 20kg plate on the side!

Thanks Off Road i am really feeling them from the off at the moment so that is good as i have never used extra weight before, it seems to be hitting the right places and hopefully after the Deload i can swap to weighted Pullups rather than chins but i swapped to get the base strength in my arms this time round.

Hi JC thanks for taking a look at the Journal! It is good to know that there is another tea drinking polo playing englishman out there too.... ....

I work 6-6 Mon-Thurs with friday off. Good way to cram the hours and OT in!

Thanks for the words of support on the Bench i am really happy with it, 3 weeks ago 55KG was a real Struggle and 65KG felt just right today!

As for the Squats, they will come i am sure just 5KG off having two 20KG plates either side, even though it is only 5KG it should be a nice mental boost

I would like to think that in the last 2weeks before the deload i could hit working sets of 70KG on the Bench and hit 80KG on Squats and 90KG on the deads.

That would make me a very happy man, all i can do is eat sleep and lift and we will see

    Cheers for the input guys.
