Work is great Kiff one comment though I would try to do your speed squats against bands and for 8 doubles.

Yh it seems to be workin very well, the only problem I see is that I don't own my own bands untill next month, so like yesterday I don't have them each DE session, however, I did read somewhere it isn't as important for non geared litters, how true that is I don't know..... So that answers nicks and your question! Thanks guys!!

Brian how often do you personally de-load?

20 reps of ATG squats is insane after the box squats and deadlifting. Damn good job as usual!

When I was doing WS, I would deload whenever I felt like I needed it. But I would normally deload every 4-5 weeks on my other programs.

    Wide Pulldowns

    3x15x50KG 110LBS

    Overhead BB Press

    CGBP

    5x5x60KG 132LBS

    DB Press Flat

3x10x17.5KG Just whatever i could get to see myself die...

On the note of deloads and recovery i have learnt some intresting things on westside i will post a statement then my thoughts on it.

'Overtraining is precursed by the need to deload and the need to delaod is signified by the slowing of recovery'

Now that is just my latest idea for my own journal, that is my thoughts so dont ask for any reference to some massive bloke or a pro

It just seems that i have recovered pretty well from workouts, up untill recently, my diet has stayed steady as has my rest. Two things could be happening,

    1) I am now able, now used to the program to really get to my true Max effort and have got better at working out %'s of assistance work
    2) I am starting to struggle to recover from the workrate on a prolonged basis.

I would say it is probably a mixture of the two, now i am no expert but the recovery seems to start slipping before strength, i would not be supprised if this week i dont hit the PB'si expect and the slower recovery was my body trying to warn me, i will stay true this week, keep my diet on track and test this theory but i think i am probably right.

All this is probably something that all you guys know and is just me trying to work my own body out but oh well that is one of the reasons i chose westside, to learn more about myself..

I think some people only start realising the need to deload once the numbers or 'Headliners' start to fall away, IMO it is probably too late by that point.
