Whats every one getting out of knee wraps

Im doing a meet raw in late june with only a belt due to the feds rules

I have been going wraps less for 2 weeks. I have never gone heavy without wraps and never really knew how much I got from them. With the sets I have done I have a good idea of what Im testing at wrap less.

After 2 workouts its appears I get about 40 pounds out of wraps.

Im curous what others get from wraps.

    22.5kg from last comp.
did first two attempts with knee sleeves, 230kg on 2nd was a grinder, so put APT strangulators on for
third attempt and got 252.5kg ( 1 red for depth from the side the vid is from)
I think with someone else wrapping tightly I could get more. I get 4 times round on way down and twice around on way up knee. std 2metre wraps

Looks like in line with the norm. I hear some claim people get 100 out of wraps but I think thats typically the raw purest people that need something to bitch about on powerlifting watch LOL.

I tested both with and without wraps recently and I get about 25lbs out of my 2m wraps. However I can't get em real tight yet, they're too new.

Damn, 40 lbs out of wraps would be awesome. I tried wrapping with some old inzer wraps when i started lifting and hated it. I've squatted without wraps since then, but I may have to reconsider for another 40 lbs!

It depends. If I'm squatting unequipped I get about #60. If I have a suit on I only get about #30. I think it's just the amount of knee bend. My knees bend more unequipped. I would like to know what kind of wraps everyone uses. I use the Metal all blacks.

I pretty much think the same thing. I think alot fo the knee wrap claims are people bitching to bitch.

I use APT Strangulators for competition now but I used to use Inzer Z wraps.

For most of my general training I don't wrap my knees anymore. I've managed to do some good bad things to my knees through the years (bilateral meniscal tears, ligament damage, other fun stuff). I've found out that for day to day training it seems like my knees dont' hurt as bad when I dont' wrap them. That said, for a maximum attempt, I think the psychological aspect of having my knees wrapped is important. I'm really not sure how much I'm actually getting out of the knee wrap, but I don't think its anywhere near 100 lbs.

Depends on the type of squat.

When i used to break at my knee in multiply gear, i got close to 100lbs.
Now I break at the hips and sit abck more and its ~50lbs.
    Raw over 75lbs.

Those are 2.5m strangulator wraps which I find are the best.

My current wraps are 2m Inzer Z's. Looking forward to trying the black Metal or APT Strangulators

I'm not exactly sure what I get out of them, but it's not much. Maybe 30 lbs out of 2.5mm. I have only wore them 2 times in training and 1 meet. So, I might not have a dependence on them. I have also heard that 100 lb stuff. I don't see that.

Good luck in that meet Scott.

    Thanks.

First Raw meet without wraps so it should be fun.

I know someone who claims 70+ out of knee wraps, but I think he uses them ridiculously tight. The raw meet I did was without knee wraps so I don't really know for myself. It was tough to tell what I got out of them when I was also in a canvas suit and briefs.
