So I've started on this program, but feel like I can't give it my all due to pain in my left shoulder. Feels like I have a shoulder impingement problem since I only feel pain during certain exercises. Bench pressing light weights is fine, but once I go heavy, my left shoulder starts hurting.
My questions are:
-Do you think it's wise to continue this program without going too heavy on my bench?
-Or refrain from working out for 2 months to heal my shoulder? Although the pain doesn't bother me at all other than bench pressing or military press. So it's not unbearable.
-Would cable flies be an appropriate substitution for bench pressing? That's the only chest exercise that doesn't cause any pain. Tried everything else.
