    newb question about OH squat

    hi everybody

    i've been getting some decent gains on the SS routine. is it pretty standard to be able to squat your own bodyweight in OH fashion? Or is it a pretty good goal? i know u have to have monster shoulder muscles (which i dont have) just a newb question

    I think that would be pretty impressive. OH Pressing your own weight is a great accomplishment by itself. So being able to hold that over your head while squatting would be really impressive.

    I'd imagine not many lifters can OH squat their own bodyweight. OH squat is a very difficult lift, requires great strength, besides not many people train for that lift.

    A bodyweight overhead squat is a great accomplishment.

    If you haven't OH squatted before, start with just the bar.

    haha absolutely. even my back squat form is painful to watch. thanks for the replies everybody
