The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

It sounds like you need some time from the gym altogether. That's a hard thing to do when you're cutting though, I don't think I could do it.

    Very nice benching too.

So why not deload? I know it sucks but feeling so ****ty that a stiff breeze will blow you over is worse than having to deload.

Deeeeeeeeeload! Do some active recovery stuff, but just take the foot off the intensity, you'll be so thankful you did!

How do you find BCAA+ compared to the other ones you've tried?

I'm lazy so haven't read up a bit, but how long are you gonna cut for?

sup daniel. i actually made a thread about it, which has now turned into a debate on the effectiveness of BCAAs and what dietary conditions are required for their actual desired effect. i use them because of anecdotal recommendations from proven lifters lol. the science/money doesnt really concern me as much as the chance at superior results. ill trust a proven lifter (not from t-nation) over hype/marketed studies all day.

It's because of this that I haven't purchased a BCAA product yet. I'm wondering if I would just be better going off with a whey isolate with og fat and 0g carbs instead of BCAAs. Thoughts?

Been gone for a while, but the picture of the legs look solid as hail. I assume you might be like myself, where your legs stay relatively lean, but the fat creeps to, I'm just guessing, the lower back.

I might have missed it, but where is the BF% sitting at right now?

It does sound like your body could go for some extra rest and you could get that in a multitude of ways: an extra 1,2, or 3 days of rest, the all out deload, lowering the weights slightly, lowering the volume, etc. It just sounds like you could benefit from some form of rest.

What exact diet set-up are you following. I remember you devised your own when you were working with Alberto, or somebody, and you stated you might follow it in the future. Are you just keeping your calories constant, or manipulating calories, carbs, etc?

    thanks ryan.

lots of manipulation scott.. i initially thought i was about 13-14% but once bloat came off after a week of cardio and cutting back carbs, it was not the case. i'm probably right around 10% right now. most of my fat storage is in my legs.. hams and glutes, really. i have a relaxed six pack.. so all is well!

next time i bulk i will probably be cycling tbh.

Get an upper body shot up asap. That's mad impressive.

Cycling as in aas? I love it! You've paid your dues, you work more than hard enough. I hate it when people don't earn their right, but you have. I want to live vicariously through you as you do.

It'd be awesome to see the strength and size jump on the aas.

Now Behemoth's gonna really wanna do it.
