The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

well. doctor i saw simply had my MRI referred out to a specialist. he doesnt actually know anything about anything, its pretty pitiful. the treatment he was describing was for that of tendinitis. he gave me some flexeril and a 5 day corticosteroid series. i'm not sure if i will use the prednisolone. tendinosis is more about degenerative collagen breakdown than inflammation as with tendinitis. a corticosteroid would be good for tendinitis, but seems pretty pointless for what i am encountering. thats why i am skeptical of the corticosteroid.

i am going to give it another week and see how i feel. right now my bicep feels pretty good, relatively speaking. its been about 2-3 weeks since i last messed with any dumbbell work. another 2-3 and i hope to be good. depending on how i feel, i may start some aerobic band curls/reverse curls to start rehab. it may not be entirely prudent since i am still coping with injury.. but today is day 1 of summer dieting.

also.. as an edit, it feels dramatically better than it did a month or two months ago. i havent truly tested it....... but for example , 2 months ago, if i tried to pick up my wireless keyboard tray as i lay on the couch to download porn onto my awesome 60" tv, i couldnt even use my left arm.. now i can do it without feeling any discomfort... so its coming along.

Not trying to make light of your situation, but it could definitely be much worse. It does sound like a milder case scenario and could work itself out...gonna be interesting to see how any of the meds work.

the dubstep i like typically remind of de novo prodigy or chemical brothers from the 90s. not sure why i like it, its hard to pin down

Great job on the failed 7th rep. Not many people have the courage to even attempt a last rep in which they may actually fail at.

People will go to absolute failure all day with arm movements. It's good to go to the max on squats, as long as you're in a cage or something that will catch that large weight.

thank you scott. i dont like failing on squats... but its hard to call it sometimes when you will fail. you can usually go quite a ways further than one would think on squats

poor workout.. kinda just went through the motions.

sissy smith hacks are very difficult mechanically. my midget build is not predisposed to do these

Damn you. I really wish I could go. 500+ for tickets and prolly a couple hundred for a flight is not in the cards at this point.

Do you partake in the....uh....more exotic aspects of the concert if you catch my drift?? Pm me if you want.

Have you tried smith hack squats? Easiily my favorite squatting movement. Blowtorches the quad pretty effectively.

i tried both actually. my conclusion is that i have a weird frame, i cant get the bar around my hams/glutes and i gave up

    Sucks to grow up.

No, not like regular barbell hacks. Like this:

Mute the vid cuz this guy is annoying as hell. And obviously deeper than how far he goes. Besides heavy leg press, it's my favorite movement for quads.
