The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I'm finally getting my membership in a new city and my goal is gonna be 180 by the end of summer. I'm 150 now after losing 25 lbs since school ended. Lookin forward to achievin my goal.
    ain't nuttin but a peanut.

You will have gotten stronger when the weight that feels heavy is actually heavier than the weight that feels heavy now. Then the weight that feels heavy now will be a warmup for the weight that feels heavy then. But the weight will always feel heavy or you're not lifting enough weight. Clear? -Rippetoe

By December, I want to balance out my 2 hand seated rows with my flat bench... they're way out of wack.....

    Benching 275 5x12
    Rowing: 175 5x12

    Any tips?
Does this pose make my camera look big?

just remember this "I've got a gun and a shovel...and you won't be missed". I head that one when I was 17 or so.

as for my goal, i've always been a heavier guy, with extra weight around my belly. I'd like to keep my body weight-175-but reduce fat and increase muscle mass, and i guess i will have reached my goal when i can see my 6 pack. yeah for recomposition!

I reached one already - 700 lb deadlift.
Next is 7 plates a side squat (675).
    Drop my bf% to 10-12%.
    Give chalk a chance.

Okay, new goal for me after the other night is to do both lat raises and reverse fly's with 50lbs DB's for at least 10 reps. Felt like a wimp doing them last night with 25lbs and 15lbs respectively.

For now triple bodyweight deadlift. Deadlift is moving up and bodyweight is going down, so might happen in the near future.

If I had to choose 1 thing to accomplish that would make me satisfied if I dies right after.... 1,000 squat (I don't care what bodyweight, what equipment; would just love an official 1,000 in a meet). With this in mind I may have to consider pushing my bodyweight up a bit.
    Current PR's 198 - 220
    Squat - 777 - 771.5
    Bench - 611.7 - 628.2
    Deadlift - 567 - 584
    Total 1929 - 1973

I'm a fat guy. So, if I have to pick one goal, it's to get down to 10% BF...and to stay in the neighborhood!

I've got a ways to go (probably about 25 lbs.), but I've also come a ways (25 lbs.).
