The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Nice work Vincent!

That takes incredible discipline to cut that kind of weight and great courage to enter a competition while still acclimating to the new bodyweight.

Vincent was 270 with clothes right before he started warming up. Now THAT takes dedication.

Thanks guys. It was quite a long and grueling experience. There were many people that helped me, and for that I am grateful. I will take some time in the next day or two to get my thoughts out there. I want to do that properly without just rushing it out there. I just got home and am very spent. I also have some dr and attorney appts the next few days. Nothing serious, just stuff I have put on the back burner while getting ready for this meet. You know, life, that stuff we do between training sessions.

I definitely had more in me than the 730. As I was pressing my second attempt-750, I had my third (which was to be over 8) already picked out in my head. Anyway the judges didn't see it my way. I took it again and they were not feeling me there either. I'll post vids and you can all make your own judgements. Anyway, I said my goal was to hit 242 and make it into the current top ten. The 730 puts me 8th on plwatch. So, I hit my goal. Just a little disappointed because there was more there.

Thanks again everyone. Like I said, I'll get more out in the next couple of days.

    Congrats!

PLing and cutting that much weight at the same time puts you in a special category of insane dedication.

    Very admirable stuff man.

Congrats on the 730 Vinnie! Sorry the 2nd and 3rd attempts turned out disappointingly. 730 at 242 is still awesome brother!

    242?

    That's... disgusting.
Being a strong teenager means nothing.

My wrists hurt, but some people don't have wrists to be sore. My knees have tendinitis, but some people don't have legs to get tendinitis in. I seem to be going backwards with training, yet some people can't even walk let alone lift 400 pounds on a daily basis.

Dust out the vagina, and keep on lifting.
