I don't know if I didn't get enough sleep last night or what but I am having a major brain fart and search is not helping me.

When talking about macronutrient breakdowns are we talking pure grams of each substance or calories derived from them?

For instance a breakdown of:

200g Protein
120g Carbs
80g Fat

Would that be considered a 50/30/20 split or a 40/24/36 (based off calories per gram of each)? I'm thinking the later but I am just having all sorts of google/forum search problems today.
