    water intake?

How much water is needed to be drank a day?

I was going to start going for a gallon a day but I would like to be sure.

6'0" 165 pounds at 17 are my stats... trying to saturate the muscles a little bit. And obviously water is healthy for you too.

6'0" and 165? I'd be consuming food before water

A gallon is a good, but think of it as 4 liters instead. I find it easier to manage when I can portion my water into my nalgene bottle.

Also keep in mind that you lose about 1 liter of water though respiration and perspiration a day. So a lot of it is compensation for water loss though those factors, but also you can consider how frequently do you sweat during exercise? My water consumption has really attributed to two things: compensation and hydration. I like to keep my muscles hydrated so they can flex better, and I don't like lookin at amber piss (joking...but urine color is a good tell tale sign of your hydration).

I usually have 3/4's of a gallon to a full gallon everyday. I try to just monitor frequency of peeing and pee color. Keeping it straw colored.

Do you feel like you're not currently drinking enough?

I'm drinking about 2 gallons a day, but it's an arid environment. I usually drink half a gallon during my workout time.

Depends on a lot of things. Mainly your size and activity level.

There's tons of formulas and estimates you can go off but the best advice I've heard is to drink enough to have at least 5 clear urinations a day.

Just drink a bunch of liquids, and then when you workout and sweat drink a bit extra. Thats all you need to worry about.

yes i do need to eat more to gain more weight, i am changing my diet accordingly. my last bulk was a 150 to 175-180 pounds last year. going to go for a 190 weight this year, lean of course. But yes I believe i was not drinking enough water, pretty much none actually on some days.

Thats what I am trying to change though

First time I've ever seen this being recommended. The best way to determine this imo is the following: think of why urine is created and how it's produced. Simply put, drink well when you're thirsty, try to stay relatively quenched and piss when you need to. Don't bother with volume, frequency or coloration if everything seems fine. Too much water can be harmfull (i.e. kill you).
