Hey guys, I've been working out for the past 4 months, eating 3000 calories a day, and taking creatine/whey. I seen pretty good gains, put on some weight, but I got thinking....maybe I should be doing things different. My goal is too stay lean like I am now, but also add some size to mostly my upper body. Been playing hockey for 10 years so my legs are in great shape, although my upper body is lagging pretty bad. I'm not looking to get huge, but a look similar to taylor lautner (lol i know). He has the exact body type im looking for, abs, decent arms, and a nice chest. That's all i want guys, I am not sure what I should be eating, how much of it, and also what kind of routine i should be doing. I'm doing a 3 day split working a different body part every time. Thanks for the help guys.

Why did you start thinking like this? You say you've had good gains. Why change?but I got thinking....maybe I should be doing things different.
Elaborate.I'm doing a 3 day split working a different body part every time.
6'2 - 105kg (231lb)
monday - arms
wednesday - chest/abs
friday - back/traps
i work legs at dry land training for hockey and i also play hockey (obviously) so their already being worked hard. i have minimal equipment. a bench, barbell, dumbell, and chin up bar.
im not sure if i really understand what your goal is...is it hockey oriented or do you just wanna look like this lautner character? either way, if your goal is to bulk up, even a little, then you're gonna have to eat more. it seems a lot of the younger lifters are worried about putting on "dirty" weight, and focus so hard on their abs that they lose sight of everything else. Understand there is a process to being big AND lean. If you're playing hockey a couple times a week then you're not gonna get fat so go ahead and eat and build a foundation of strength. I cant stress enough the importance of a good strength program. Strength is just the first step to getting to your goal.
BTW Im not breaking your stones for wanting to look like this hollywood actor. Even in the 1950's people wanted to look like Elvis so this is nothing new. But just looking at these before and after pics you posted I can tell you they've been airbrushed. Just know that before those pics were taken it was the studio's job to make him look like that. You better believe he had an entire team of trainers, cooks, and assistants helping him get in shape.
i understand that man. alright so i think im going to continue with my routine, eating 3000 calories a day getting at least 150 gs of protein. also im thinking of adding ab ripper x into my workouts. good idea? my goal is basically just to get his physique.

Only werewolves can look like that...so...good luck.
Most people pray for a lighter load in life...ever thought of praying for a stronger back?
Goals as of 2/08/11 (current) goal:
Squat: (505) 535, Deadlift: (475) 500, Bench: (325) 350 Total: 1305 (1385)
BW: 225 as of 02/01/2011 Goal: 205 by May 1, 2011
you think its an unrealistic goal?
I think tn was just havin a little fun with you...it's certainly not unrealistic to look like that. Ask yourself though, do you think you weigh as much as you need to? are you confindent in your strength foundation? Be honest with yourself cause only you know the answers to those questions, and lying to yourself can only hinder your progress.
again, my advice is to stick to one of the premade routines here and read the diet section of the hct-12 program. all the answers you need are there.
alright, thanks for the advice. im really weak but weigh about 165.
Just eat and train...
Im eating like an ANIMAL training like a hell raiser and hoping to be as big as possible...
I just want the girls to say WOW!
