The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Have you calculated your BMI? You need to figure out how many calories you are burning each day and take in 500 calories less if you want to lose weight.

No squats, deadlifts, chins, dips? That said, this certainly isn't the worst routine ever posted. You can do much better though, read up on the HCT-12 or Baby Got Back routines in the Bodybuilding and weightlifting forum if you're looking for a good four day split.

But if you have any tips on anything to help out on losing weight faster and getting bigger would be great.

I would check out HCT-12 because it will take the guess work out of training and nutrition for you and you can just focus on do'ing. As tom183 said, certainly not the worst routine posted, but it's far from ideal.

As for diet, if you want to properly lose weight, you will need to count calories and macronutrients (protein/carbs and fat) and do cardio and more importantly you need to be consistent with the plan for a period of time so you can measure progress and adjust as needed.

If you are in the early stages of dieting and have some chubb to lose, it's certainly possible to lose weight by just cleaning up your food choices, cutting out crap food and doing some cardio, but I think if you want to lose the type of weight you are talking about, at some point (maybe now, maybe not) you'll need to pull a very specific plan together.

Again, check out HCT-12, it has everything laid out for you.

Personally I wasn't a fan of HCT-12 while cutting, but for a beginner that needs structure I doubt you will have the same "complaints" I had.

As for the Diet I would add in some mixed veggies, maybe a salad ect. Also what are the micro totals?

Just so you know, the formula to find your BMI (body mass index) is: weight (in kg) divided by height (in metres squared).

Honestly though, dont even bother with it. It is a useless measurement.

Not much... Atkins is good if you can commit to sticking with it. Also I had some success with Weight Watchers.
