I need to take a month off from weight training due to a rotator cuff sprain/partial tear (not a result of weight training but an accident) and will be doing physical therapy 3 x week for the next few weeks. I am also allowed to run/jog, swim, and do abs until I complete therapy.
I assume that since I will not be doing my normal weight training routine (8 hours a week), that I need to cut on my calorie and protein intake? Will swimming help me maintain muscle tone? I just don't want to lose too much muscle size/tone as I have been training very hard the last 15 months.
