The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Still feeling Mondays session in my mid back so energy levels were kinda of low today. My spotter shit the bed on the 360 floor press and touched the bar by mistake so I didn't call that a PR. Couldn't complain to bad because my spotter was the old lady and it being Valentines Day afterall.

Shirt felt good cause I had the sleeves tightened slightly. I think 495 is a PR, the setup felt similar to my blues choked at home. PR on the bench , what is this world coming to!

Then proceeded to puss out cause my hip was hurting so bad that I was lifting everything with my back and didn't want to jack something up seriously. I will make some of the work up tomorrow. Ibuprophen and a deep elbow digging in the hip from the old lady and I feel much better already.
Side note: this suit setup felt like shit, no pop at all, almost like pulling raw.

Gonna start trying to improve my arch again to shorten my range of motion, started off using a 3.25 in. pipe under my back for the CG's and I was able to touch my ass and shoulders on the bench so it sounds like a good place to start. Did this once before and got lazy and didn't see it through to see if it helped. Gonna try to stick with it this time and see if I get any improvement come the June meet, I'm getting desperate with my bench!

Quick session with good volume, that is the one good thing about 5x5 things seem to move really fast and the hamstrings are fried the next day.

Bench felt strong today, didn't realize what a big PR that was until I got home and got a chance to look through old logs. Been awhile since I did this setup on the bench. Used the 3.25 inch pipe on the bench again to work my arch. Nice day with progress.

Conventional has definately become my weaker stance offically. The position of the block made the pull feel like all back and took your legs out of the movement. Came back and grinded out 495 for one of the longest reps in history. Left hip bothering me again so after the block pull I tried to do work off my feet and still get in some action, training around things while gettin work is part of the key I believe. Nice session.

Unusual for me to come back and get a pull cause I blow my load and the next try is on empty, but if it was moving I wasn't gonna stop! Took about 10 seconds to lockout, lol.
