Will be back training very soon. This is my last week of classes!
The guys I have been training with are more concerned about being seen by the onlookers while lifting and flexing at the chain gyms as opposed to getting stronger in the basement hell hole, lol. Not a big issue, just different goals.
Too bad about that training partner, there are some truly unreliable people out there as you have found.

Holy cow, that yoke bar with close stance on a low box will really put your ego in check. I am gonna really like this for the next meet comin up. I love new toys!
Side note: My partner decided to come back for a cameo appearance then proceeds to leave early, gotta love part timers.

Mini deload this week with no accessory work. Beginning a 10 week shirt program in a couple weeks so a little extra rest will be a good thing. Elbows aching today probably tied in with the crappy weather of late.

Might have rode that 600 a little on the thighs coming up. But the way my deadlift goes I will call any improvements a PR. Finally significant progress!

No accessory again tonight, still mini deload. Will put them back in starting Sunday. Box squat felt weak as hell tonight, probably because I haven't done it in forever. I never really cared for the feel of the box squat and carryover for raw and single ply because you don't sit back as much like in double ply. But because i expect to work in to double ply gear next year which does require sitting back more I will start running with it more. I will carry on for about 4-5 weeks then go to my next phase and remove the box. Plus it will definately hit my lower back and hamstrings in a new way.

Decided to mix it up and use my db flat press sorta as my max effort exercise. Start my shirt work next week so taking the barbell out of my hand for one max effort session prior might be a good idea. Smoked when done, good work.
