    Unique/Rare Exercises

    Calling all those who know any such movements. Please share. Can be anything you noticed/do/envisioned...
    If you can, for starters:
    -what the exercise is called?
    -how is it performed?
    etc.

    Knee Squats.

    Get the bar on your back when in a kneeling position. Sit your ass on the back of your calves and then move your legs back to an upright position, 90 degrees with your calves. There's one rep. Do it a few more times.

    I have done those before (but never did see anyone else do these); I liked it but it was just too much pressure on my knees at the bottom.

    Kneeling cleans/snatch. Clean/snatch a weight from the kneeling position. Not sure how rare it is in the US, but I've never seen one here.

    OH press from a squat,
    while standing grab a bar, rack it, then squat down deep till your sitting back, now without standing up press the bar overhead for reps.
    The stability and shoulder strength required is what makes this so tough.

    Turkish get-ups... Very tough exercise!

    They can be done w/ a KB or DB but I use the Kettlebell. Works just about every muscle in the body!

    Bent Press. Tried to do it. Don't think I quite get it yet.
    Best unequipped meet lifts - 120kg Open class
    Sq: 629lbs
    Bp: 330lbs
    Dl: 585lbs
    Training since Dec 2008.

    for added twist & difficulty try that with a bbell
