    2 weeks out, so I'll lift like normal next week, and then deload the week of the meet. I've not had an ideal time getting ready for the meet. Being sick kept me out of the gym over a month, and the last 2 have just been busy. I'll still be able to set some PR's so i can't complain really, progress is progress.

    405x1 felt not as good as i hoped. I've gained about 10lbs, seems quite a bit in the belly lol. Felt like i couldn't get into position with the belt on. I'll be working on that and DE day this week.

    I really need to work on getting into position with my belt on. I didn't think the weight i've put on would make that much of a difference, apparently i'm wrong lol. Did a hybrid workout today. ME bench fri, and De lower sat. Then deload next week and see how it goes at the meet. On top of being sick leading up to the meet, My wife and I have been in the process of redoing my house to sell it. So there has been a lot of stuff making it hard to train recently, but the house is done finally. So I'll be back at it full bore after the meet.

    today I was more working on form, had to figure a few things out with the deadlift, the 10lbs i've put on seems to be hanging around the belly, so felt a bit out of position with the belt on last time I did deads. I figured a few things out with it and feel better about my form now. Next week will be just a little gym action to be active, nothing major at all. Doing similar to last meet since that worked out well for me.

    Thanks Brian. Meet went pretty good, this was my first full meet. Lones helped me out a lot, was awesome. So my previous gym PR on squat was 405, i hit 410 on second attempt, and 450 on my third stoked on that. Bench was horrible, i hit my opener of 255, then missed 305 which would have been a 5lb PR. Just wasn't my day. Deads i hit 430 for a 5lb PR on my second attempt and passed on my third attempt, was just beat. Videos below, offer feedback on form etc...

    probably did, plus I didn't eat/rest enough I don't think between squat and bench. First full meet, and there was about 2 hours or so i believe between squats and bench. So probably to big of a jump and not enough food that did me in. I'll be more prepared for the next meet. Switching to a day shift, so I may actually have people to train with soon, pretty stoked on that possibility.

    Thanks Stephen, been out for a bit. Planned a week off after the meet, then switched to a day shift after being on nights for 4 years, so gave myself another week to adjust. Got back in the gym today and hit some PRs today.

    Thanks Brian, looked back through my log, and saw i hadn't even tried this much squatting against the bands like this. But the confidence i gained from how well i did in the meet had me ready to see what I could do lol.

    yeah man, new work schedule has made it hard, that and being a bit lazy. Went from a 3p-12a schedule the last 3 years to 6a-3pm schedule. Got back in the gym yesterday. Going to stick with 531 until i can join another gym and get a group of people to train with.
