The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Missed Deadlift

    Hey all-

I did a PLiting meet 2 weeks ago and hit a nice PR on Deadlift. I did 1x DL workout a week after. Felt ok. Then I was at the gym with a buddy and did some Deads. Keep in mind, I didn't feel great going in. We did warm ups. Got going at 405x 2. 455x3 500x1 but then had a 515 miss. I have got this weight before easy. I was shocked. I was a little out in front. My question is, did I come back too soon?? Should I take a few weeks off? Not sure, feel liek crap. I hate missing DL's.

let me know what you guys think.

You just pulled a PR deadlift two weeks prior. I wouldn't worry about it. Just a bad day.

After a meet it takes me about 6 weeks for my deadlift to feel normal again. Stay away from singles for a few weeks and you will be back to normal

Agreed w/ Scott... I dont pull for at least a month after a meet.

Let your CNS & lower-back recover then get back at it!
