Impressive lifting mate. This back to front thing is interesting. I can see the merit in it.

I have a Toro lever and it has become very distorted and twisted within 8 months. I will be interested to see if yours does the same although I have never spoken to anyone who has had the same problem. Lever is definitely great though. Saves so much time mucking about.

With the nose tork, open it, hold it down at your belly and slowly raise it up until you start getting a really good huff of it. Inhale as deeply as you can. Good idea to close your eyes too as it makes them well up almost instantly.
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw

What an awesome belt! How much did it set you back, if you don't mind my asking?

And great workout too mate - heavy deads to christen the belt!

Nice job on the deadlifts...kind of makes up for doing kickbacks
Haha cheers OR. Starting to really want to move to westside routine. After seeing Kiff change to it and having read a lot about it lately... Looks good and I love the heavy compound lifts...

Cheers Brian! I know, I even watched all those seminar vids about 6 months ago but only just found basic template which definately helped my understanding of the method!

    Westside it is team.

I will shortly be starting a new journal too because it is quite a major change and I am keen to make a positive start. I wont be completing the programme given me by the bodybuilding guy as feel I can incorporate some aspects into how I do westside, i.e. 5 sets of 8 for some of the assistance work for next few weeks to help hypertrophy still, while also increasing my strength... Which I highly miss being able to do first. And doing the major movement first, I feel, is the best way to do it, and is the way I would guess most (or all?) strength athletes do it.

To me it is safer (fatigued muscles don't coordinate as well) and also better way of teaching the body and CNS to perform the major movements properly. I also did a lot of talking to my old lecturer (whose house I train at sometimes) about the programme and it seems he disagrees with the programme, and I have a lot of respect for him and trust his judgement.

I also started new job yesterday. Have worked the Thursday and Friday, it is good! Think I will be much happier working in the fitness industry for which I am qualified for.

So my last training post in this journal...

Did some guns with my manager this morning, just for fun lol and found out that he likes supersets...

    Random Guns Day

Hammer Curls / Reverse BB Curls / BB Curl
    10kg's (22lbs) * 10, 12.5kg's (27lbs) * 10, * 10 / 15kg (33lbs) * 10, * 10, * 10 / 15kg (33lbs) * 10, * 10, * 10

Tricep Pushdowns / Reverse Cable Curl (extension of arm holding bar like a curl) / O/H DB Tri Extension
    36kg (79lbs) * 10, * 10, * 10 / 42kg (92lbs) * 10, * 10, * 10 / 20kg (44lbs) * 10, * 10, * 10

Preacher Curls - brackets are assisted
    28kg (61lbs) * 10
    38kg (83lbs) * 5 (1)
    28kg (61lbs) * 5 (2)

    Weighted Dips
    BW+10kg (22lbs) * 12
    BW+20kg (44lbs) * 10
    BW+25kg (55lbs) * 7

Tricep Pushdown (rope) / Cable Curl - one dropset of each no rest between exercises, max reps then drop weight. Can't remember weights and reps hit. Finished me though!

Good random session after having done a spin (cycling) class beforehand. So overall a good day of exercise.
